Now back to the actual news … Jason Fried announced 37signals have started working on their next ONCE product, no real details, just a clue that is will be “wordy”. Won’t be available for a few months.

Got started on the second product this week. Wrote up the one pager that essentially details the big picture, and sketched up some rough fat marker sketches to make it easier to visualize and communicate the concept.

Perhaps some kind of Notion alternative? What are you thoughts…

@salilsethi reminded me this week, that there are a lot of self hosted Open Source alternatives to subscription based software.

While the ONCE trend is great way to sustainable software, open source software has been around for a long time and is often well supported too.
